Dr. Matt Stevens is the founder and head coach of Pure Endurance. Matt is a Doctor of Physical Therapy and Exercise Physiologist. He’s been involved in all facets of endurance, ranging from working with age-group triathletes and distance runners to elite Crossfit Games athletes. His racing background includes road cycling, triathlon and distance running events that push both the mind and body to the limit.
At Pure Endurance, we believe that data is very powerful! Matt uses a variety of testing methods to analyze each athlete’s progress individually. By understanding the data, and knowing how to apply it, every athlete receives a truly individualized approach to his or her training. These insights are also applied to writing customized workouts, training blocks and developing comprehensive strategies for every athlete. Matt believes that understanding the science of coaching is vital in helping athletes of all levels achieve their goals.
