Sarah Waiwood

Sarah Waiwood, PTA, MEd, AT, ATC, CSCS received her Bachelor of Arts from Baldwin Wallace University with a major in Athletic Training, Exercise Science, and Pre-Physical Therapy and a minor in Biology, where she also played volleyball for two years. Sarah went on to receive her Masters of Education specializing in Exercise Science from Cleveland State University in 2016. She furthered her education at Kent State University receiving an Associates of Applied Science for Physical Therapist Assistant in 2020. Sarah is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and certified in Dry Needling.

Sarah’s clinical experience is primarily in the orthopedic and sports setting where she’s treated a wide variety of conditions ranging from the post-operative individual to the elite athlete. Prior to joining the Pure Physio team, Sarah was a Certified Athletic Trainer at Baldwin Wallace University for six years working primarily with the volleyball, cross country, wrestling and lacrosse teams. She also has spent one year at Gilmour Academy. Sarah has an interest in return to sport and concussion return to play, as well as ACL return to play. In her spare time, she enjoys trail running, hiking, lifting, and spending time with friends and family.
